What To Wear For Zoom
Most of us had never heard of it ‘BC’ (before corona) now as many of us are working from home, it’s an integral part of work life. So, what does dressing for work mean if you’re no longer going into an office? The plus side to meetings online means you can be business on the top and cosy comfortable on the bottom – just make doubly sure you don’t have to stand up during the course of the meeting.
Most days I have been, depending on the weather either dressing in a comfortable summer dress or adding a nice top to joggers or relaxed style trousers, often with Birkenstocks. Jeans especially after my initial stress Kit Kat eating first couple of weeks are just not that comfortable for working from home. Keeping style standards high even if it is just the top half, goes some way to boost morale and increase productivity.
Also consider your skin and make up, although in HD Zoom can make you look washed out, so you may want to consider slightly upscaling your make up. Starting with a hydrating moisturizer that adds luminosity to skin, then covering in a light tinted moisturiser. Too much foundation will show up on screen. Brighten your eyes with brightening eyedrops and try a navy mascara to make your eyes pop – it will look black on screen. Finally add warmth to your face with a blush that will make your cheeks colour pop. Check the lighting is flattering and you are good to go.
