About Lisa O’Shaughnessy
Fashion Designer to personal stylist
My love for design, fashion and style started as a very young age. I would paint and sketch, make clothes for my dolls then myself throughout my childhood. Which in turn lead me to complete a fashion design degree and starting work as a fashion designer in 2000. I designed for brands such as Tommy Hilfiger to Zara, which took me all over the world: from New York, Paris, Delhi, Hong Kong to Istanbul. Giving me invaluable firsthand insight to how culture and dress vary across the globe.
In the midst of my design career, I had the opportunity to style a friend who had declared, “I have nothing to wear,” for her birthday. Witnessing the joy and positive reactions from her and others that night was a pivotal moment for me. It sparked the realisation that I could share my skills to help others express and refine their personal style. In 2014, I decided to diversify into personal styling and completed a styling course at Aston & Hayes, initially balancing both freelance design and personal styling. Today, I focus exclusively on styling individuals and businesses, while also creating bespoke designs for long-term clients.
