4 Ways to Wear The Knitted Polo.
Wimbledon has just finished and much has been made about the unusually high star turnout courtside - due to the Hollywood strike. With Brad Pitt and his knitted polo shirt firmly taking centre court in the style stakes!
The knitted polo shirt is in my opinion a very underrated menswear item, that doesn’t get the attention it deserves. With many men opting solely for a classic sporty piqué polo shirt, often unaware knitted versions exist, or not knowing how to style them in an authentic way.
As well as being an underrated item it’s also a versatile one and can be styled in a multitude of ways. It’s more polished than a classic polo or t-shirt, but not as buttoned up as an Oxford shirt. It’s ideal for blended working in a business-casual world and you can even wear them to weddings. They can either act as a blank canvas, or if patterned work as a statement piece and can be easily integrated into an existing wardrobe.

Relaxed, but elevated styling through the use of tonal colours. Brad’s beads an optional extra.
Make a statement
Actor Chris Evans is having a polo year and can be seen sporting an array of various styles to his red carpet premiers. This look isn’t for everyone, but it proves you can still stand out in a crowd whilst sporting a polo.
Suits You
Influencer Permanent Styles Simon Crompton is a fan of pairing a polo with tailoring. Add a smooth silk mix polo to create an insouciant laid back, but crucially still smart vibe.
